There’s something incredibly special about meeting with God — those quiet moments where the world seems to fade away and His presence becomes the most tangible thing in the room. But if I’m honest, for a long time, my quiet time didn’t always feel that way. Or rather, reflecting on my quiet time didn’t.
Some days, it was a scattered note in my iPhone.
Other days, a prayer scribbled on the back of a note pad from a conference I attended.
And still other times… nothing at all.
Because I wasn’t properly stewarding the word of God — whether written or spoken — I knew I was leaving so much on the table.
I deeply desired consistency and a place to collect all my reflections — not out of performance, but out of longing.
So when the Holy Spirit prompted me to create a journal, it seemed like a no brainer. That’s where the In the Secret Place was born.
A Place for Flow and Focus
This journal isn’t about perfection nor systematic routines. It’s about treasuring God’s word — both the logos and the rhema — in a way that honors Him and cultivates consistency.
I designed it to help you move through quiet time with intentionality starting with a posture of surrender. Whether you’re meditating on God’s word or reflecting on what He’s speaking to you, this journal has a place for that. Each section is thoughtfully crafted to foster intimacy and reflection.
And because every person’s rhythm with God looks a little different, In the Secret Place is available in a flexible digital format — perfect for printing out or using on your tablet. Whether you love the feel of pen on paper or prefer to write and highlight digitally in apps like Notability or GoodNotes, you can choose the option that best supports your time with Him.
You won’t find clutter here — no pressure to “fill every line” or make it look pretty. It’s a space where you can flow easily as you reflect in prayer and worship.
Because time with God should be our delight, not a checklist.

How This Journal Has Transformed My Quiet Time
One of the sweetest parts of using this journal has been the clarity and continuity it’s brought to my time with the Lord. By keeping all my quiet time notes in one place, I can easily look back and see what God has been speaking to me about over time.
I use mine in the Notability app, and I love that I can search through my entries—whether I’ve typed them or written them by hand. It’s such a gift to be able to trace recurring themes and patterns I might have missed before. Seeing how God connects the threads on different days has deepened my understanding of His voice and drawn me closer to Him.
How to Use This Journal
This journal is structured to guide your time with the Lord — not to confine it, but to give it space to breathe. Here’s how you can move through each section:
Posture of Surrender — Begin by opening your heart fully to God. Quiet the noise and prepare your spirit to receive.
Voice of the Spirit — Write down what He’s speaking to you in the moment. It may come through Scripture or a stirring in your spirit.
Prayer Points — Capture the specific prayer points the Holy Spirit highlights — whether for yourself, others, or the world around you.
Reflections & Today’s Highlight — Record the insights, themes, and moments of His presence that stand out most. Over time, these reflections will help you trace the beautiful ways God is working in your life.

A Quiet Invitation
If you’ve ever felt scattered in your time with God — juggling notes in different places or struggling to stay consistent — this journal was made with you in mind.
It’s more than a page to fill.
It’s a posture to return to.
A reminder that your quiet time doesn’t have to be perfect — it just has to be intentional.
So pour a cup of tea, find your favorite chair, and let’s meet Him there — in the secret place.
